Workshops for Tapping Inner Wisdom through Writing
Dr. Faye Schwelitz has developed and currently offers 1-day, 3-day, and 5-day journal-writing workshops based on the work of her mentor Dr. Ira Progoff. She has titled this work Journey to Inner Freedom: Writing from the Quiet Center.In Praise of Faye’s Offerings: Over the past two years Pat and I have attended three of her 5-day workshops, 1 of her 3-day workshops, and several of her 1-day workshops. Guess you could say we are hooked by the power of this journaling process. All of us in attendance at these workshops have been amazed at what is revealed from within from the style of journaling that Faye has evolved from the work of Ira Progoff. Most importantly, this intensive journaling style is not a spiritual path per se, but a tool to deepen whatever path you are on. I have found this so in helping me in my Pathwork and Pat has found it equally helpful in her Awakening Into Presence program.
To give Cincinnati/Dayton spiritual seekers a local taste of this powerful inner work, Faye is offering 1-day introductory workshops. One is in Yellow Springs (Saturday September 18 at a place to be determined) and another in Cincinnati (Saturday October 2 at Grailville).
If from these 1-day events you discern that this work could be a powerful experience and tool for your spiritual growth, the next 5-day workshop will be offered locally October 24-29, 2010 at The Spiritual Center of Maria Stein Retreat House in Maria Stein, OH — about one-hour north of Dayton. This 5-day event can also be taken as a 3-day workshop.

Faye’s Background: In 1976 Faye was introduced to the Intensive Journal by Dr. Ira Progoff and under him became a journal leader in 1978. For nearly thirty years Faye gave Intesive Journal workhsops across the US and in Australia. During the past 5 years she has been giving journaling workshops to groups of inmates at the Federal Prison in Leavenworth, KS.
Faye, who holds doctorates in both biology and psychology as well as training in spiritual direction, has always been interested in the mind, body, spirit connection and integration. She has found journaling a powerful tool in bringing about this integration.

A Pathwork Workshop with Kathryn Dunn Fleisher, LCSW, and Gary Vollbracht.
This workshop builds on Pathwork Lecture #127: Evolution’s Four Stages: Automatic Reflexes, Awareness, Understanding, Knowing. While not required ahead of time, this lecture is available in text form and as an mp3 audio reading for those wanting to prepare for the workshop.
